The name Lavender is believed to be derived from the Latin word “lavare”, meaning “to wash”, as it was often used in bath and laundry for its fragrant properties. Lavender essential oil eliminate harmful bacteria, relieve muscle spasms, relieve flatulence, disinfect and soothe inflamed skin.
How to use: You should not apply lavender essential oil directly to skin. It’s important to dilute the oil with a carrier oil, such as olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, grape seed oil, wheat germ oil or any base oil. For every 1 to 2 drops of lavender essential oil, add 12 drops of a carrier oil. Patch test is recommended.
